ReplyDeleteWe donate to various charities all year long,but my favorite is when our church does a volunteer day each year and they have 30 something activities that you can help with. My daughter and I last year learned how to make pillowcase dresses for little orphan girls in Uganda, Africa. We LOVED it and after that day we have continued to sew. We made close to 30 this summer that were sent over with about 300 others. We have started sewing more this past fall and have about 5 ready to go already!

ReplyDeleteI donate money to a few worthwhile charities and my children and I have adopted grandparents at a local nursing home that we visit nd send cards and gifts too. I'm also a cad maker and I donate handmade cards to Operations Write home for our solders stations so far away from home and for children at our local children s hospital

ReplyDeleteI was raised to help others even though we never had much ourself. We donate all items or clothes I am not using to shelters. I help at the soup kitchen and the last coat giveaways. I made stockings for the Salvation Army. Yesterday I went to Tom River to clean out a house hit by Storm Sandy. I love that even if you do not have money there are tons of ways to help other by just giving your time and hardwork.
